On October 4, Artisans Art Gallery had the rare privilege to participate in an intercontinental charitable event. The abbreviated version is that a wonderful German couple is traveling the North American continent, visiting hundreds of cities and towns, and finding artists to express themselves on a rolls of canvas that will eventually stretch to about 900 feet.
They've already travelled over 20,000 miles, and when their tour is done, the canvas will be cut into panels which will be sold, and the proceeds donated to charitable/humanitarian organizations, such as UNESCO.
If you're interested in reading more and tracking their journeys, you can find them at www.panamericanarte.com (unless you're fluent in German, you'll need to use an app such as Google Translate to read the full text). They also have a Facebook page, which you can find by searching "panamericanarte".
We're happy that the work of Lindsay Miller and Brad Holt will play a small role in this amazing project. Happy too that the gallery had some art supplies available to donate to this important project, as we believe that art is the bridge that can help bring us all together!
